POSITION TITLE: Elementary Principal
FLSA: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
MAJOR POLICY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Elementary Principal is responsible for providing effective instructional leadership and is accountable for the school’s operation. Major responsibilities include the educational program, professional and classified staff, student development, facility maintenance and management, fiscal management activities, and developing effective community relations.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience.

Elementary Principal certification.

Effective leadership skills and experiences.
- Campus leadership experience preferred
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Campus wide discipline
- Ensuring that academic policies and curriculum are followed
- Meet with parents and administrators on a regular basis for problem resolution
- Evaluation of campus staff
- Manages and supports campus functions and schedules
- Encouraging, guiding and assisting student leaders and teachers
- Meeting and listening to concerns of students on a regular basis
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inform appropriate central office personnel of problems, progress, and plans in the building as they occur and identify.
- Support and participates in parent/community activities.
- Provide an orientation program for new staff members.
- Participate in developing building goals according to the educational goals of the district.
- Other duties as assigned by the superintendent.
